Croshere bounces again, to the Spurs


The Spurs signed veteran forward Austin Croshere to a 10-day contract Friday.

Croshere was waived by Milwaukee on Jan. 6 after appearing in 11 games. He averaged 3.3 rebounds and 2.2 rebounds.

The 12th pick by Indiana in the 1997 draft, Croshere had his best season in 1999-2000, averaging 10.3 points and 6.4 rebounds as the Pacers reached the NBA finals.

The former Providence star has averaged 6.9 points and 4.1 rebounds in 656 career games. He spent nine seasons with the Pacers before one-year stops in Dallas and Golden State.

In 68 playoff games, Croshere averaged 6.7 points and 3.6 rebounds.
